Our Eye Clinic in Anchorage & Wasilla

Dr. Patrick Reber moved to Anchorage from Houston, Texas in 1993, shortly after his graduation from the University of Houston School of Optometry to join Alaska Eye Care Centers. He is Board Certified, a member of the American Optometric Association and Alaska Optometric Association and holds licenses in Texas and Oklahoma.

He is active in the community and currently holds the title of Clinical Director for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes vision screening program. He has been associated with this program since 1999 when he was trained in North Carolina at the World Summer Games. Dr. Reber is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT).

He and his wife Michelle have been married since 1997 and live in Eagle River with their three children.

Dr. “Jim” was born and raised in Anchorage. He graduated from New England College of Optometry in 1998 and joined Alaska Eye Care Centers in August the same year. Prior to practicing optometry, he completed a doctorate in biomedical imaging research at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He is actively involved in diabetic community services.

He and his wife Kathy have two children and enjoy cross-country skiing, hiking, biking and fishing.

Dr. Nolin was born and raised in Wolf Point, Minnesota. He did his undergraduate work at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and a major in Biology in 1997. He graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2002 and did a year of residency at the Roseburg Veterans Administration in Roseburg, Oregon. He joined Alaska Eye Care Centers in July of 2003. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alaska Optometric Association.

He lives in Anchorage and is an avid outdoorsman, regularly enjoying fly fishing, hunting, hiking and snowboarding.

Dr. Ford graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2007 and joined Alaska Eye Care Centers the same year. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Alaska Optometric Association.

He is actively involved in the community and enjoys traveling, golfing and mountain biking.

Dr. Cook completed his undergraduate at Brigham Young University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology and attended optometry school at the University of Houston College of Optometry; from pediatrics to difficult- to-fit contact lenses and ocular disease. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Alaska Optometric Association.

Dr. Cook is married to his wife Brooke and they have four children. He enjoys the outdoors and activities such as hiking, fishing, camping and skiing. His most favorite activities are those spent with his family.

Dr. Giesey joined our family at Alaska Eye Care Centers in 2017 and brings with her vast experience, compassionate personality and specialized knowledge to the team. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages with a special interest in contact lenses and dry treatment.

She is an active member in the leadership of the Alaska Optometric Association and enjoys hiking, skiing, travel, and Buckeye football games and exploring Alaska.
